We have the option to print QR codes containing the barcodes of ordered items. Currently Tristar and GP Energy are using this solution. Cashiers will scan the QR code on the Bite receipts to quickly add all the PLUs in their POS and create the orders and collect payment.
The content of the QR code will depend on how the below fields are configured in Receipt Settings in the Bite Admin Portal.
- Print QR Code with Ordered Item PLUs: checkbox controls whether or not the receipt should print QR codes.
- QR Code Header: field controls a "header" text that will print as the header before the PLUs
- QR Code Item Delimiter: field controls the character in between the PLUs. \x0D\x0A can be used for linebreaks.
- QR Code Needs Barcode Type Prefix?: field controls prefix that will print before each PLUs. If this box is checked, the prefix will be determined based on the lengths of the PLU
length of barcode Prefix assumed barcode type 12 digits A UPC A 6 digits E UPC E 39 digits * Code 39 any other digits # Code 128
With the configuration settings in the screenshot above and the two items in the below screenshot, the QR code content will print as follows:
TCQI;A877362070480;A877362068395;
