Most of these instructions are going to be coming from https://help.esper.io/hc/en-us/articles/12592134759953-Android-for-Work-AFW-Provisioning
- Press “Start” on the “Welcome Screen”
- Agree to all things on the next page
- Connect to Wifi
- Don’t copy over any settings from a previous device
- On the “Sign in” screen, enter
afw#esperin the email field and press “Next”. - “This device belongs to your organization”. Next
- “Set up your phone”. Continue. This will take a minute.
- “This device isn’t private”. Next
- “Google Services”. Accept
- Now the tablet is loaded and you should be looking at the home screen.
- Open “Esper Device Management”. It will check for updates and dependencies (could be a couple of minutes).
- It will eventually offer you to scan a QR code for an Esper Provisioning Profile. Scan that and then wait while Esper installs everything. In the middle of this process, there will be popups prompting you to “Resolve” an access. Every time you press “Resolve”, you will be shown a list of permissions for some system function. You have to toggle it on for Esper Device Management and then press “Back <”. There should be 3 of those. After wards it will install things for a few minutes.
- Once the process is done, Esper will put the device in kiosk mode and launch the version of the bite app associated with the chosen provisioning profile.
