Overview
By default (after purchasing the device from Elo or another retailer), or after performing a Factory Reset, the Elo device will use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This QuickGuide is meant to provide a generic walkthrough on editing the Network settings for an Elo device, with the goal of configuring a Static IP.
Configure Static IP
To setup a static IP on the Ethernet connection, use the following steps:
- Press the two buttons (Home and Power) on the backside of the Elo screen simultaneously
- A control panel screen will appear asking for the password to the device
- Select 'Apps' at the bottom of the screen and then open 'Settings.'
- Open 'Network & Internet', then open 'Ethernet'
- Choose 'Ethernet Configuration'
- From here, you can switch between DHCP, or tap 'Static IP' to configure the device according to your network's needs
Notes
- This guide assumes that you are connecting your device to your network via a direct ethernet connection (LAN).
- If the device is using Ethernet/LAN only, we recommend disabling the WiFi to avoid network conflicts.
- If you are unsure about which IP to use as a Static IP, please contact your network team or provider for assistance. Bite Support is unable to advise on which IP Address is correct for your network configuration.
- The images used in this guide were captured using an Elo i3 model. Other models/generations of Elo devices may have a slightly different menu layout, but generally speaking, this guide should be sufficient to walk you through all steps to accessing the device's Network settings.
