This guide explains how to properly configure a Secret Menu in Bite Admin.
Step 1: Create a Secret Menu Section
- In Bite Admin, create a new Menu Section that will contain the secret items.
- This section will be used exclusively for the Secret Menu items.
Note:
The section itself does not require a special designation. It can remain configured as a Regular Section.
Step 2: Create a Secret Menu Page
- Select the menu where the Secret Menu will be added.
Inside that menu, create a new Menu Page named:
“Secret Menu”.- Once created, configure the following field:
- Designation: select Secret Menu
- Designation: select Secret Menu
- (Optional) You may add a Page Background Image if desired.
Step 3: Add the Secret Section to the Menu Page
- Inside the newly created Secret Menu Page, go to the Select Menu Sections dropdown.
- Add the Secret Menu section created in Step 1.
Important:
Do not configure the Designation field on the section itself.
The Designation = Secret Menu is only required on the Menu Page, not on the section.
Step 4: Configure Display Settings in Configuration V2
Once the Secret Menu page is created, navigate to:
Configuration V2 → Kiosk Settings
Here you will define how the Secret Menu is displayed on the kiosk.
4.1 Menu Display Type
- Type: select Side Nav
This will make the Secret Menu appear on the left side of the screen, at the bottom of the menu.
4.2 Column Count
- Column Count: defines how many columns the Secret Menu will display.
Adjust this value based on your desired layout.
Step 5: Control Access to the Secret Menu (Loyalty Setting)
There are 3 ways to control who can access the Secret Menu:
Option 1: Loyalty-Only Access
Enable the field:
Require Loyalty for Secret Menu
- Only customers who log in with their loyalty account will be able to see the Secret Menu.
Note: This option only works if the site uses a loyalty integration.
Option 2: Public Access
Leave the field disabled:
- The Secret Menu will be visible to all customers, without requiring loyalty login.
Option 3: Access code
You can set an access code if you don’t want this secret menu to be available for everyone, but also don’t want to use a loyalty account:
