Refunding Abandoned or Unset Orders: Daily Process Overview
Each day, we receive emails from noreply@getbite.com regarding abandoned or unset orders that require manual refunds. These emails are sent 8 times a day, on the hour from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Email Subject: [ACTION REQUIRED] Refund Unsent Orders
- Step 1:
Click on the link in each email, which will direct you to the specific order that needs to be refunded.
- Step 2:
Click the "Request Refund" button, and then confirm your action. Please note, some orders will require additional steps before processing the refund. You may be prompted to
"Cancel Order" or "Commit Transaction" before the refund option becomes available.
For example, in this case, you will need to "Cancel Order" first before the "Request Refund" button will appear.
Common Errors
Important Notes:
- Debit refunds: Certain debit card refunds cannot be processed via the portal. These must be handled directly at the POS system, and in most cases, the customer will take care of this process. As per WorldPay’s policy, we cannot process debit refunds through the kiosks or the Bite Admin site.
- Specific organizations: For some organizations, like Bluestone Lane and Recipe Unlimited, we are unable to refund orders paid with a debit card through our platform.
